The Suburban Football Club has been created to provide competitive soccer players in the Suburban Region with the opportunity to play together at a regional level. In July of  2009 Bedford Soccer Association, East Hants Soccer Association, Sackville United Soccer Association and Scotia Soccer Club met to discuss the viability of forming a united soccer district with in the Suburban Region. All four clubs agreed that they could do a better job training soccer players. The clubs share a common goal, all want to provide members with top training and programming at all levels of play. Player and coach development is at the core of this goal and working together as a group will help achieve the best possible results.

The clubs agreed to a collaborative approach that will allow the best players in the Suburban region to unite and play at the Tier 1 and Senior A levels regionally, provincially and nationally. Suburban FC purpose is to provide the excellent training opportunities for premier athletes who have the skill and the passion to rise to the top of the game. Suburban FC player and skill development will follow a clear, consistent path inline with provincial and national programs.

Suburban FC exists solely for the purpose of fielding Tier 1 and Senior A teams. The organization is club form and owned by the clubs within the region.
