Suburban FC is pleased to accept all interested coaching applications for the upcoming winter season. Following their second summer as a Regional Tier I program Suburban FC is looking to build on the successes they have had and are looking for enthusiastic coaches interested in working with committed players in a structure that puts the players’ needs first. Suburban FC is committed to offering competitive programming in line with the Canada Soccer Association’s LTPD and continues to work with the available resources in the Suburban region in an effort to offer the best programming possible. New and exciting for this winter is the opportunity to coach and train in the new East Hants Indoor Facility.
All interested applicants should submit the Coach Application Form to the Regional Technical Director before September 11th, 2011. Do not hesitate to get in touch with Matt Blair if you have any questions about the coaching opportunities available.

Following the initial fitness test ALL Suburban FC players will be taking part in the Interval Running Program found here.
Players will be running once a week (Wednesday) as a club and once a week on their own. Players are asked to regularly check the Suburban FC Schedule for any changes to training times.

In an effort to encourage young players in the region to spend more time with a ball on their own Suburban FC has partnered with the Suburban RTC to help recognize and reward all Suburban RTC players who reach certain levels of individual ball mastery. The following list demonstrates the various juggling levels as well as the associated recognition and rewards:
Conference (25 Juggles) – Name on Suburban FC website
League Two (50 Juggles) – Suburban FC Water bottle
League One (100 Juggles) – Suburban FC Scarf
Championship (200 Juggles) – Suburban FC Sling Bag
Premiership (400 Juggles) – Suburban FC Long Sleeve Shirt
World Cup (750 Juggles) – Suburban FC Hooded Sweatshirt
All juggles must be counted by one of the members of the RTC Coaching Staff. Players will be given opportunities for 5 minutes BEFORE training sessions begin to attempt to achieve a new level. Each player will be permitted three attempts each time they wish to be tested. Players are not permitted to just use their thighs.

Suburban regional goalkeeper training will begin Sunday November 7th at Sackville High School. The goalkeeper training is open to any players registered in winter soccer within the Suburban Region (Suburban FC, Bedford, Scotia, Sackville, East Hants) and is free of charge. The sessions are run by Suburban Regional Goalkeeper coach Gary Carter Jr. and are a great opportunity for position specific training for the goalkeepers within our region.
Sunday
12-1pm U-12/U-10/U-8 Tier II keepers
1-2pm U-14/U-16/U-18 Tier II keepers
2-3:20pm ALL Tier I keepers (note: this session is mandatory for ALL Tier I keepers)

Team Atlantic is the revival of a previous identification model that sends one team from Atlantic Canada to the CSA All-Star competitions each summer for each respective age group. Starting in the summer of 2011 CSA will run All-Star competitions at the U-15 and U-16 age group. Suburban FC is very proud to have such a strong showing of players in this preliminary Team Atlantic pool and will continue to work hard to give these opportunities to other players within the club/region.
