Suburban FC (SFC) is pleased to share that later this month the Club will be rolling out our 2022 Coach Development Program (CDP for short). The SFC CDP is a newly designed Coach Education & Development Program that builds off the foundational programs and initiatives for SFC Coaches developed in previous years.
Suburban FC through its mission is devoted to fostering and delivering inclusive, safe, high-quality soccer experiences to anyone from the community who wishes to enjoy the beautiful game. To achieve the objectives & ambitions of the Club, Suburban expects it’s coaches to be positive role models, community servants and significant contributors to the club’s on and off field success. In order for Suburban FC’s coaches to have the impact and developmental influence on the pitch, the Club has created the CDP to provide coaches with various learning and development opportunities to become the best that they can be.
Suburban FC recognizes the importance and impact that the Club’s coaches have on all of its’ programs, players, members and overall experiences for all. As Suburban FC strives for excellence on all fronts, the Club has committed to ensuring we can develop excellence in its players and programs, through excellence in our Coaches. SFC wants to help our Coaches discover their excellence, however that may be to them, with the full belief that the Coaches on our fields are integral to our success and attractiveness as a Club.
The 2022 CPD will entail 5 core features;
Here’s what Suburban FC Boys Technical Director Ollie Hewish had to say about the Program:
“This Program is something that will make a huge difference, not only for our Coaches, but the experience, impact and development that this Program will have will trickle down and reach all corners of the Club. We all know the impact that Coaches can have not only on individual players, but entire families, communities, parents, and so on. Recognizing the importance of Coaches made it a no-brainer for us as a Club to establish and solidify this program building off of previous initiatives that SFC has successfully delivered in previous years.”
“Our Suburban FC Coaches will have some fantastic learning opportunities through this program. From the inspiring and informative guest-speakers, to the on-field Game Model interactive sessions, everything delivered in this program will be of immense value to all”
“This program contributes to the way that Suburban FC is changing the culture and growth of our Club as well as Soccer in the region.”
Club Director of Soccer Operations, Jessie Burgins, had this to say about the CDP:
“We aspire to have a culture like any other here at Suburban. Our CDP is something that we have been dedicated to improving and solidifying to help give coaches support and hopefully build a desire in them to go above and beyond for the kids.”
