Programs
Teams
This summer Suburban FC will be offering competitive teams at the following levels:
U-14 Development Boys/Girls
U-14 Boys/Girls
U-16 Boys/Girls
U-18 Girls
Senior Men/Women
These developmental teams will aim to increase the number of players playing soccer at a higher standard. The composition of the team will be mostly first year (or U-13) aged players in an effort to offer a high level of training and competition to players who are not quite physically mature enough to play at a U-14 standard yet. These teams will be permitted to have no more then 5 players who are of U-14 age, the rest must be ofU-13 age.
Training
Suburban FC will be offering a comprehensive training program in line with the Canadian Soccer Association’s LTPD model. Suburban FC will aim to provide players with a 4:1 training to game ratio throughout the course of the summer season. Players will receive technical training sessions with professionally certified coaches once or twice a week depending on the time of season. Players will also receive two sessions a week from their qualified head coaches. The vast majority of these sessions will take place on turf as the players will be playing their games on turf. There will be some instances in the spring where due to the lack of available facilities some sessions may be run in gyms, on tracks, and on grass.
Fitness Training
As part of their comprehensive program Suburban FC will be offering a fitness program that will focus on the speed, strength, and agility needed to play the game at a high standard. All players will be tested at the beginning of the season and their progress will be tracked as the season progresses. Players will be expected to take initiative and work hard to increase their fitness on their own time as well as with their teammates.
