If you have any questions contact Rose at 468-1885. Suburban FC Training TimesOctober 18th, 2011Training times will begin Monday October 24th. The full schedule has been posted on the right hand side of the page under “Winter Traning Schedule”. For U13 and U14 teams where it says “Alternating” this is how it will work: The first week (week of Oct. 24) the U13 teams will train in gyms and U14 teams will train on turf on Monday night. This will schedule will alternate on a 2 week cycle for the remainder of the winter season. The schedule link at the top of the webpage will be updated by the end of today and will be used as the club’s resource when cancelling and adjusting training times. Provincial PlayersSeptember 30th, 2011Suburban FC would like to congratulate the players who have recently been named to Soccer Nova Scotia’s Provincial Program. Part of what Suburban FC is trying to accomplish is to develop players to provide them with increased opportunities as they advance through their youth playing careers. The number of players recognized as provincial players is a credit to the hard work these players have put in with their club and on their own time. NTC Players AnnouncedSeptember 2nd, 2011Congratulations to the following players from Suburban FC who have been invited to train with the National Training Centre – Atlantic program for the upcoming winter season. Boys Girls These players have worked hard to represent both their club and province over the past year and as a result have been recognized with an additional opportunity. Suburban FC is proud of their individual achievements and pleased that the club has been involved in the development of these players. For the first 70 minutes of play Suburban goal keeper Jason Ross stood on his head saving numerous attacks. Halifax City final broke through in the 72nd minute scoring first on a rebound. Shortly after Suburban FC responded with a blast from Alex Cordoba hitting the back the net in spectacular fashion followed a resounding roar from the SFC supporters. At 90 minutes the teams remained tied at 1:1 forcing the game into extra time where Suburban FC sealed the deal with another from Alex Cordoba and Ian Greedy winning the title with a 3 to 1 victory of Halifax City. This marks the first Senior title in the club’s short history. The team is headed to Brossard, Quebec on Oct 5th for the club Nationals. Suburban FC Winter Coaching ApplicationsAugust 18th, 2011Suburban FC is pleased to accept all interested coaching applications for the upcoming winter season. Following their second summer as a Regional Tier I program Suburban FC is looking to build on the successes they have had and are looking for enthusiastic coaches interested in working with committed players in a structure that puts the players’ needs first. Suburban FC is committed to offering competitive programming in line with the Canada Soccer Association’s LTPD and continues to work with the available resources in the Suburban region in an effort to offer the best programming possible. New and exciting for this winter is the opportunity to coach and train in the new East Hants Indoor Facility. All interested applicants should submit the Coach Application Form to the Regional Technical Director before September 11th, 2011.
